Polo was the first regulated sport in Colombia. The first match was over a century ago, in the prestigious Polo Club de Bogotá, a pioneer of this sporting activity in the country.
Just recently, lovers and followers of this sport gathered the club for the Andino Mall Women’s Polo Championship. Attendees got to enjoy this unique tournament in Colombia, where women from different countries competed for the first time.
For nine days, the competition showcased great sportsmanship and performance on the field among its women polo player participants. The tournament left a very positive and gratifying impact for the competing teams, as it invited more support and involvement of many more women in the sport.
The exciting final declared names to watch out for in polo, with team Torrijos taking first place. Proud members Bianca Pagano, Laura Encinales, Adriana Tabares, and Leticia Delage happily raised the trophy for a well-deserved win. The second place was obtained by team Muy Mía, with members Luisa del Carril, Andrea Quintero, Valentina Urrea, and Alina Salazar.
