On December 13, the triangular match for the Women’s Nations Cup began on field 2 of the Campo Argentino de Polo in Palermo. The women’s teams from Argentina, the United States, and England participate with 22 and 23 handicap goals.
On the opening day, the tight match saw England beat the United States by 8.5 to 7. Meanwhile, the Argentine team debuted in the match against the North American girls the next day.
The tournament is played over eight chukkers of 4 minutes and 30 seconds per period. The match gathered two players with 10 handicap goals and six who were protagonists in the Argentine Women’s Open.
Team England is composed of Georgie Cunningham (1), Stephanie Haverhals (4), Milly Hine (7), and Hazel Jackson (10).
The United States team, on the other hand, have members Dawn Jones (6), Maddie Grant (5), Hope Arellano (7), and Kylie Sheenan (5).
Finally, the Argentina team is comprised of Paulina Vasquetto (0), Azucena Uranga (5), Milagros Sánchez (7), and Lía Salvo (10).
